Visiting Olive's House

Hey all, I went around to Olive's house recently so we could do some research for an upcoming homework project.
I had never been to her house before, it was super cool to see her bedroom! It's really big, or maybe it just looks that way because there's not much stuff in it.
I asked Olive if her room was so empty because she hadn't fully moved in yet, but she said she doesn't have lots of furniture, apparently it's called being a minimalist.
She did say that she had a desk chair that got damaged in the move though, so we couldn't work at her desk. I didn't mind though, she had so much floor space! Not to mention the cutest see through suitcase ever, it must be really easy to find stuff in!
I was really surprised when I saw that she didn't even have a bed frame though, just a mattress on the floor. Olive said it was great though, just like camping every day! It sounds like fun, but I don't think my mum would let me get rid of my bed frame like Olive's mum did.
Anyway, I sat down whilst Olive got her laptop so we could start researching.
Then she sat down next to me and opened up her laptop to get started, Olive's smart, so I knew we'd have the information we needed in no time.
Homework is never much fun, but doing it with a good friend makes it seem a lot less like work! (And if that good friend happens to have a really cool looking room, even better!)
Bye!

My (Not Yet) Summer House!

Hello! I've been complaining constantly about how awful the weather has been recently, I'm always telling my mum how much I wish it was summer already. So imagine my confusion when my mum told me to go down to the bottom of the garden.
She said there was a surprise waiting for me there, so I put on my shoes to head out. I didn't plan on being out there for long so I stayed in my shorts.
Fully aware that I was going to freeze, I also put on my hat and scarf, In the hopes that somehow it would help counter the cold from the exposed legs. Then I headed out to investigate.
I've hardly been outside since I got here, it's been far too cold for that, so I hoped that the surprise wouldn't be so hard to find. I shouldn't have worried though, because at the bottom of the garden I found...
... A summer house!
Mum says I can use it as a study or a hangout space, there's even lots of plants and plant pots so if I wanted I could use it as a greenhouse!
It has a workbench with drawers and shelves on the wall to store things...
...as well as a comfy seat with cushions in the corner...
...and even hanging baskets and wall trellis!
I'm so lucky, this was the best surprise ever! It may not be summer yet, but in here, it will always be warm (mostly because it has heating!).
Later!

Olive's Birthday!

Guys! It's Olive's birthday today! She didn't tell anyone at school so I only found out as we were walking home from the bus stop. I felt bad that I didn't do anything special for her, so I told her to meet me in the park an hour after we both got home. Once I arrived I set up my sign and as soon as I saw Olive, I yelled "SURPRISE!".
At first I must have caught her a bit off guard, she jumped back and looked around, but as soon as she saw me a huge smile appeared and she ran over to hug me (nearly falling over as she did so!).
I told her that I was sorry I didn't get her an actual present and that the sign was the best I could do on such short notice.
Olive just smiled and said "A friend like you is the best present I could hope for." Besides, she must have really liked the sign as she took it home to show her mum!
Happy birthday Olive (and you, if it's your birthday too)! Bye!

All of My Toys!

Hey people! Today I thought I would show you all of my toys!
I'm not sure that these really count, but on the end of my bed I have three stuffed animals, a panda, a teddy and an owl that I made.
Most of my toys are kept here, in my shelving unit. On top is my Danbo figure, though he was really expensive, so he's not really a toy either, more like a collectors item. At the top are my three iwako hamsters, I got them all in different colours! Someday I may have a full rainbow.
In a lower shelf, there's the Iwako teddy I got for christmas, I love his little hoodie!
In the shelves below that is the rest of my iwako collection. I got them all for Christmas, except the panda, that was my first ever iwako figure.
The remainder of my toys are stored over here, it used to house my clothes, but I got far too many (oops!). Now most of my clothes live elsewhere.
First in here, we have my Lego blocks, only I used them all to make a cool robot-dinosaur and don't have the heart to break him up again.
In the last box, I have a couple of Strawberry Shortcake dolls, this one's my favourite.
And lastly, I have all these gross looking monsters. They're a little scary, but they make great villains in any game.
Those are all of my toys! Now if you don't mind, I've got some serious playing to do!
See ya!

World Book Day 2017

Happy World Book Day everyone! Can you guess who I dressed up as?
I'm Alice from Alice in Wonderland! I wanted to dye my hair blonde too, but my mum wouldn't let me, she said it would damage my hair too much. Oh well.
Anyway, I'm off to school to see what my classmates and teachers dressed up as!
Bye!
