Olly meets Otto

Hey dudes! I brought Olive over to meet Ottile today (after promising to Olive that the bearded dragon wouldn't hurt her), I really hoped that they would get along. Ottile was super enthusiastic, which worried me a bit because Olive is so shy.
I was right to be worried though, once I introduced them  Olive clearly didn't know what to say.
I was just about to say something to break the silence, when Olive pointed to Otto's bookshelf and asked her which one was her favourite. Woo! Go Olive!
And that was it, within minutes they were chatting away, recommending and reviewing books to each other. I was so proud of Olive for overcoming her shyness!
I sat on the floor, listening to them chat, adding in where I could and playing with Lentil. I'm so happy they get along, here's to friendship!

Ottile's House!

Hey! The girl I met the other day at school (Otto) invited me over, but I was already going to check up on Olive after school that day. She said I could come over whenever I was free, so I decided to stop by quickly today.
I greeted her with a wave and she instantly got up to say hello.
She was reading when I arrived, she has a lot of books so she must really really really like reading (Just like Olive!).
She's got a very big room, maybe she could tell I was surprised, as she offered me a grand tour (to which I obviously agreed)!
First she showed me her rabbit, with it's own indoor hutch next to her bed.
She even took the little rabbit out to let me play with her for a bit, the rabbit's name is Lentil and she's SO FLUFFY!
The next part of her room was her desk area.
I immediately noticed her iwako figures! She said she collects them too, but only the wild animals in realistic colours, which is funny because my collection is exactly the opposite! Otto laughed and told me that opposites attract.
And of course, she left the best until last, her bearded dragon! His name is Toby and he's so cool!
I asked if I could get a closer look at him, so Otto put her arm into the cage (which she told me is actually called a "vivarium") and he climbed right on her hand!
Before I could react, she held the dragon up to me and told me to hold still. Guess what? He climbed off of her hand and up my arm!
It was so scary, but so awesome! Otto said he was really friendly and used to lots of different people, so I didn't need to be trained before I held him.
I was having a blast, but Ottile's mum called her down for tea and I had to be home for my own dinner, so I followed Otto down and said my goodbyes.
She invited me over again, but only if I bring Olive with me, she seemed really eager to meet her, so I guess that will be happening soon...
Bye!

A Lonely Day, A Lovely Lunch

Hello! Olive was unwell and wasn't in school today, so I was very lonely. It's not that nobody else likes me or that people are mean to me, it's just that Olive was new just after I was. It was easer to make friends with her than it would have been to push my way into someone else's group.
During the whole day I was by myself, the seat next to me empty. At lunch I went outside and sat at the same table I would sit at with Olive, except without her here there was no chatting or laughing.
I sighed and hoped the day wouldn't drag on too long whilst I picked the tomato out of my sandwich.
Then I heard a voice calling out, "Hello over there!", I hoped it was Olive, but I could tell by the voice that it couldn't be.
A girl (that looked familiar from my class) waved and walked over to me, resting her lunchbox on the bench next to me and asking if she could spend lunch with me.
I (of course) said yes and told her that since Olive wasn't around, I could use a buddy to help the school day pass quicker. She grinned and told me that she thought I looked in need of a friend.
We sat and talked, she introduced herself as Otto (short for Ottile). Since I was new she already knew my name, but she asked if she could call me Hedster. I giggled, it was a strange nickname , but I liked it nonetheless.
As she told me more about herself I found out that she was a bookworm and an animal lover, she told me that she had a pet rabbit and even a bearded dragon! Otto asked if I wanted to come over after school and see them, but I told her I was going to check on Olive and see if she was feeling better.
She said that was "No problemo" and told me her address saying that I could come over any time, so I guess I'll be visiting Otto some time soon!
Stay tuned!

Cute Mini Room!

Heyyy! I've been busy since my last post, mum bought me a dollhouse kit online and I started working on it as soon as it arrived; it's finally done!
It was a little tricky, but a LOT of fun! My favourite parts of the room are the desk with its little plants and the mini satchel hanging on the chair.
I love the detail, the set came with these tiny postcards to put on the table!
I wish I had some dolls to play with in here, I imagine twin sisters sharing the room and always fighting over the top bunk!
The set even came with real working lights but I had to get mum to put them in there, it was too confusing for me!
Ta daaa! I think it's the best thing I've ever made, it's so cool!

Surprising Sleepover!

Hola! I went to Olive's house for a sleepover the other day!
She was happy to see me, she said she found some funny videos to show me, so I put down my bag whilst she got settled with her laptop...
...and we had a good laugh!
Apparently we went through some kind of time warp, as before we knew it Olive's mum was calling up the stairs that it was time for bed. I grabbed my bag to go get changed...
...and when I came back, Olive was already in her PJ's, plus her mum had gotten out some spare bedding for me!
I switched off the main light (but kept on the fairy lights, Olive isn't a fan of the dark) and hopped into bed.
I was sleeping soundly, until I heard Olive stirring and felt her wake up. I opened my eyes to see a mouse on Olive's leg (right by my face)!
She sat up and screamed, causing me to sit bolt upright.
Poor Olive was terrified; I decided I was going to be her knight in shining armor and catch the mouse! As I stood up, however, my feet got twisted in my blanket and I felt myself falling.
There was a loud CRASH as I hit the floor, taking her shelves and everything on them down with me.
Before I knew it, Olive was at my side, her parents had rushed in to turn on the lights and the mouse was nowhere to be found.
I apologised to Olive's parents and told them I would go home if they wanted, but her father assured me that it was just an accident, whilst her mum set up a place in the living room for us to sleep.
When we were done getting comfy, Olive turned to me and thanked me for trying to help, according to her, it was the most memorable sleepover ever!
Bye!
