A Visit From Olive

Hi guys! Olive finally came and visited me today!

I thought maybe I'd scared her off or something, so I was so excited to see her walk in!

We sat down and had a chat, I really wanted to find out more about her.

Turns out, Olive's from Korea! She said she's lived in the U.K. for a while though, which explains why she's so good at English. I think it's awesome that she can speak another language, she even offered to teach me a few words sometime!

I didn't want to make her feel awkward again, so I stopped with the questions. Remembering that she really liked my iwako figures, I asked her if she wanted to play with them.

She was a little unsure at first, but she eventually became more relaxed.

We ended up playing a really fun game! It was great.

I hope Olive and I become good friends so we can play like this more often, she's really nice!

Valentines Day!

Happy Valentines day everybody! I didn't do anything to celebrate (at least not in a big way) but I did get dressed up! I wore an all red and white outfit, I think it was really cute!

Well, like I said, I didn't really celebrate much by myself, so this post is just a quickie.

The Problem With School

Alarm clock rings

It's Monday again

Though I know I must go

for the knowledge I need

But I know that it's worth it

If only I didn't have to wake up so early!

A Knock at the Door

I was playing with my iwako figures today when I heard a knock at the door.

I didn't think much of it, mum normally answers the door anyway.

But then I heard a knock at MY door, so I dropped my figures and got up to see who was trying to get into my bedroom.

When I opened the door, I saw a girl!

She looked around my age and she was smiling a little awkwardly, so I let her in.

I invited her to sit down and set about figuring out who she was and what exactly she was doing in my bedroom.

Turns out, her name is Olive and she's just moved in a few houses down from us. She came by for a few minutes to introduce herself and my mum (knowing how friendly I am and sensing how shy Olive was) sent her right on up to me.

I think she felt strange with me asking so many questions, so she asked what I had been doing before she arrived. I remembered that I'd left my figures on the floor and picked up one to show her. She said she thought that they were adorable!

 I said she could play with me if she wanted but she said she had to go, her mother wouldn't have expected her to come inside to chat, so she'd be wondering what had happened. I waved her off and told her she could come over whenever she wanted.

I'm looking forward to getting to know Olive, there's not really any other kids in the area (there's hardly any other people in general!), so I think it's safe to say I'll be seeing lots of her.

The Perfect Blogging Pose

Friday the 13th!

Ugh. Hello everyone, I hope your day wasn't as awful as mine.

I'd had such a horrid day at school, once I got home I barely had time to kick off my shoes before I collapsed face first onto my bed.

I wondered what I could have done to deserve all this, then I remembered. It's Friday the 13th! No wonder today feels like it will never end, I must have just been unlucky.

I sat up and looked around, I knew exactly what would cheer me up!

I arose from my bed and walked over to my desk to grab my laptop.

Once I'd retrieved it I brought it back to my bed and got comfy, I was going to be there for a while!

I opened my browser and pulled up CBBC on demand, if there's one thing I love about Friday the 13th, it's watching the old  Friday the 13th special episode repeats of all of my favourite shows! 

Looks like today still has a chance to redeem itself, but I've got lots of watching to do! 

Maybe eventually I'll be in a good enough mood to tidy up my school stuff (I said maybe!).

New Years Hedolutions!

Okay, that pun wasn't that great, but I couldn't resist. Anyway.

Morning all! With the first week of 2017 behind us, I decided it was about time I sorted out my new years resolutions.

I grabbed some paper...

...and some pencils...

...then sat down to get started with my poster!

Once seated, I realised that I didn't actually know what my resolutions were yet! I couldn't think of anything specific that I needed to improve at, nor could I think of just one new thing that I wanted to give a go.

After a while of thinking I figured out what my resolutions should be, and finished my poster!

Ta Daaa! Do you like it? I decided to hang it up in place of my snowman poster, seeing as Christmas is over now.

In the end, I decided my resolutions could be vague but still very important, I think my 2017 will be great if I follow them!
